Mark qualified in Sports Massage with Honours at the London School of Sports Massage in 1991. In 2010, he enhanced this qualification to a Level 5 BTEC Sports Massage Diploma.
An ex-triathlete, he won a National Age Group gold medal at the British Junior Championships in 1987, 3 senior British Championships medals (2 silver, 1 bronze) between 1989 and 1997, as well as the British Grand Prix Series outright for 3 consecutive years (’92-’94). He has represented Great Britain at an Elite Level on over a dozen occasions at European and World Championships and has also competed in 7 ironman triathlons.
Mark is a qualified YMCA Fitness Trainer and possesses ASA Swim Coach, Schwinn Spinning Instructor, and BTF Level 2 coaching qualifications. He has a keen interest in working with athletes and was very excited to be included at the Olympic Games as a Sports Massage Practitioner in London 2012 within Track and Field Athletics, where he got to massage the Gold Medal winner of the Mens 1500m Taoufik Makhloufi from Algeria and the Bronze Medal winner in the 110m Hurdles Hansle Parchment from Jamaica.
