Our approach to physiotherapy at Covent Garden Physio
Physiotherapy provides a vital role in pain relief and recovery from fractures, surgery, age-related conditions and muscle, tendon and ligament injuries.
But you don’t have to be injured to benefits from physiotherapy; it’s just as valuable as a preventative measure, and is highly recommended for athletes, physical performers or anyone starting a new sport or activity.
Sports Physio London
Our approach to physiotherapy is to minimise the reliance on medication or invasive procedures and instead promote the body’s natural healing processes to repair and strengthen affected areas.
Where we do use medication is to provide pain relief, not and a long-term solution but to provide a window where we can perform exercises or therapists which would otherwise cause too much discomfort.
If your injury or condition does require surgery, we can provide pre and post-operative rehabilitation to give you the best chance of a full recovery.

What to expect from a physiotherapy appointment at Covent Garden Physiotherapy
At your initial treatment session, one of our HCPC-registered physiotherapists will take a detailed account of your problem, its symptoms and your injury history, along with relevant questions about your general health, lifestyle and activity level.
They will then perform a physical examination, including a range of strength, balance and mobility tests to make a clinical diagnosis. If they feel it is necessary, you may be referred for an MRI or X-ray.
Following their diagnosis, you will be given an estimated recovery time, advised on what following treatments we recommend and be provided with self-management exercises to perform in your own time to speed up your recovery.
