Assessment
One of our physiotherapists will carry out a detailed diagnosis of our complaint, which takes into account your lifestyle, injury history and any accidents which may have contributed to it.
They will then use a variety of strength and mobility tests, joint manipulation and mild pressure to assess your symptoms and explain hows your body has been affected.
If we do not feel the need to perform further testing such as MRI scans or X-ray, we will work with you to develop a unique treatment plan which may include any of our services listed below.
Manual Therapy
Through a combination of sports massage and joint mobilisation, manual therapy can help to restore movement in stiff tissue, reduce pain and aid injury recovery.
Manual therapy is especially useful in injuries or conditions where a patient’s muscles, tendons or ligaments are so weak or damaged that they cannot move without assistance.
Exercise Prescription
The primary method we use to rehabilitate injuries is precise, individualised exercise prescription which addresses any associated weaknesses or imbalance.
We also design our exercise prescriptions to reduce the risk of further injury, and it is recommended not just for rehabilitation but prevention as well.
Functional Training
Injury, illness or ageing can impede movement, from high-level athletic performance to simple day-to-day activities like climbing a flight of stairs.
Functional training focuses on your strength, coordination and balance to restore lost movement and provide the physical capability which is most important to you.
Pre and Post-Operative Rehabilitation
Post-0p rehabilitation programmes help the body to “relearn” strength, motion and function lost following a surgery.
We also provide pre-operative rehabilitation to prepare the body for the trauma of surgery and significantly reduce the difficulty of post-operative rehabilitation.
Our physiotherapists are sympathetic to the psychological as well as physical aspects of rehabilitation, helping patients stay motivated through a delicate, often months-long process with very gradual progression.
Podiatry and Orthotics
Podiatry is the study and treatment of health problems in the feet, where imbalances and impairment can cause or exacerbate injuries in the ankle, knees and hips.
With help from our trusted podiatrist Sas Ahmadi, we can provide show advice, gait analysis, custom orthotics and more to improve the health of your feet and, by extension, your whole body.
