🌴 Out of Office, Out of Pain: Your Summer Factory Reset

Have you ever noticed how that lingering neck, mid-back, or lower back pain seems to miraculously vanish the moment you go on holiday?
It isn’t magic, it’s movement! Time away from the desk and an increase in daily, natural movement are the main reasons your posture suddenly feels so much happier.
This August, we want you to use your time away as your body’s ultimate ‘factory reset’.
To help you keep your joints feeling fantastic on holiday, try incorporating these three simple stretches into your daily routine. Do ten repetitions once or twice a day.
Lumbar Rotations:Â Lie on your back with your knees bent, and gently let your knees drop from side to side to loosen up the lower back.
Thoracic Rotations:Â While sitting, cross your arms and gently twist your upper body side to side to mobilise your trunk.Â
Neck Retractions:Â Gently pull your chin straight back (think of making a double chin!) to stretch the back of the neck and reset your alignment.
Unplug to Unwind:Â Try to avoid looking at your phone or iPad unnecessarily. Enjoy the break and treat yourself to a digital holiday as well!
Treat Yourself: Why not go the extra mile and book a sports massage while you’re away? It’s a brilliant way to release any residual tension.
Ride the wave and stay on top of this feeling. The more you move and do on holiday, the more it will help your body heal.
We want you to come back refreshed, recharged, and renewed.
Still feeling a few niggles? If you’re feeling much better but still have a lingering ache, now is the perfect time to act! Booking in with us whilst you are in this improved state allows us to create a tailored programme that will take you all the way to 100%.
Have a wonderful, break!
